This beautiful Little Angel Tatting Lace Pattern is a delicate design created for tatters who love timeless lace, miniature ornaments, and meaningful handmade creations.
The design is based on an original Patrizia Pirocca 1994 design, which captured my heart at first sight. I couldn’t resist giving it a little MMJ redesign in 2026, adding my own interpretation while preserving the charm of the original Angel.
This tiny Angel can become a beautiful Christmas ornament, keepsake, handmade gift, jewelry element, decoration, or a little guardian Angel made especially for someone you love.

The Angel is a small and detailed design, so patience and good control of your thread tension are recommended.
🪡 Materials Needed
The Angel can be created using the thread color of your choice.
For my redesigned version, I used size 20 thread and increased the dimensions slightly to create a more balanced finished piece and allow the beads to complement the design beautifully.
Depending on your version, you may use:
- Tatting thread
- Transparent Toho beads, approximately 2.2 mm
- A teardrop-shaped bead for the Angel’s body
- Small decorative beads or crystals
- Needle or shuttle
- Basic tatting tools
✨ Choose your own colors and embellishments and make your Angel completely unique.
📏 Finished Size
The finished size will depend on:
- Thread thickness
- Thread tension
- Bead size
- Your individual tatting style
Using a thicker thread will create a larger Angel, while finer thread will produce a more delicate miniature version.

💎 The Story Behind the Design
The original Angel design dates back to 1994, created by Patrizia Pirocca.
I discovered the design and fell in love with it immediately. Rather than simply reproducing it, I decided to create my own interpretation while keeping the recognizable Angel structure and spirit of the original.

Before making your first stitch, read through the complete instructions and study the diagrams carefully.
Pay particular attention to the order of the rings, joins, picots, and construction of the Angel’s wings, head, and dress.
