More than 25 years ago, long before tatting became my artistic language, I created this jacket for myself.
It was not made as part of a collection.
It was not made for production.
And it was never intended to be reproduced.
I made one. And only one.
Today, this extraordinary piece is being offered from my personal creative archive.

Before I discovered tatting, I was already creating with thread.
As a little girl, I designed clothes for my dolls. I drew my own ideas, imagined shapes and details, and eventually began creating clothes for myself.
I learned to sew, knit, embroider, crochet and work with kumihimo.
Tablecloths, doilies and lace pieces became simple and natural to me.
I always had the same instinct:
to imagine something — and then find a way to make it real with my own hands.
This jacket belongs to that chapter of my life.
It was created more than 25 years ago, long before I discovered tatting.
And looking at it today, I can see that the artist I am now was already there.

This jacket is entirely hand-crocheted.
The design incorporates 33 different crochet patterns, carefully combined into one harmonious and highly intricate composition.
Every motif was selected, positioned and connected by hand.
And there is one detail that makes its construction particularly special:
Nothing is sewn.
There are no sewn-together lace panels.
The individual elements are connected entirely through crochet techniques, becoming one continuous wearable piece.
The result is not simply a crocheted jacket.
It is a piece of wearable textile art created through patience, construction, composition and decades of accumulated handcraft knowledge.

About ten years ago, I discovered tatting.
It was love at first sight. 🤍
Tatting became the technique that opened the next chapter of my creative journey and eventually led to the intricate lace jewelry I create today.
This jacket belongs to the chapter before tatting.
My technique changed.
My experience grew.
More than 25 years passed.
But the creative instinct remained exactly the same:
I imagine something that does not exist — and I create it with my hands.
Perhaps I never really changed.
I simply changed the thread.
