Some people remember their childhood through toys.
I remember mine through fabric, thread, and imagination.
Long before I discovered tatting lace, before I learned to crochet, before I designed my first piece of jewelry, I was simply a little girl who loved making beautiful things.
I spent hours creating tiny clothes for my dolls, sewing miniature dresses and inventing new outfits with whatever materials I could find.
Looking back today, I don’t think I was just playing.
Without realizing it, I was already learning how to become a designer.
Beauty fascinated me.
Not because it had to be expensive…
But because creating something with my own hands felt like magic.
I didn’t know it then, but that little girl, surrounded by scraps of fabric and endless imagination, had already taken the very first step toward what would one day become My Magic Jewelry Studio.
✦ Before Tatting…✦
People often ask how I discovered tatting lace.
The truth is… it didn’t begin with lace at all.
As a little girl, I spent hours making tiny clothes for my dolls. I designed dresses, stitched miniature outfits, and happily imagined entire wardrobes for them. Looking back, I think my journey as a designer quietly started right there, surrounded by fabric scraps and childhood imagination.
As a teenager, I fell in love with knitting and crochet. Sweaters, socks, scarves—if I could make it with yarn, I wanted to learn it.
One of my favorite memories is crocheting a tablecloth for my wonderful aunt. It wasn’t perfect, but it was made with love, and I still remember the joy of giving it to her.
In my twenties, crochet became even more serious, and I started creating wearable garments.
Long before I ever held a tatting shuttle or needle, I had already discovered something important:
I simply loved making beautiful things.

Today, nearly ten years later…
Tatting has become one of the greatest passions of my life.
I design jewelry.
I create original lace patterns.
I photograph my work.
I write tutorials.
I teach.
I sell my creations online.
I continue learning every single day.
Along the way, I even experimented with my first YouTube tutorials and pattern designs. They weren’t perfect—but I’m proud of them, because they show where the journey began.
Today, I have created around 467 original tatting designs and PDF patterns, with more than 100 additional ideas patiently waiting to become future collections.
And somehow…
I still feel like I’m only getting started.
✦ The Video That Changed Everything ✦
About ten years ago, while spending some quiet time at my computer, I stumbled across a YouTube video.
A beautiful blonde woman was wearing an elegant tatting lace necklace.
I had never seen anything like it.
I completely fell in love with the lace.
The problem?
Finding tatting supplies in Serbia was almost impossible.
While waiting for my first tools to arrive, I simply couldn’t wait…
So I started making jewelry using crochet instead.
Eventually, my sister brought my very first tatting needles from the United States.
That little package changed everything.
One knot became ten.
Ten became one hundred.
One hundred became thousands.
Little by little…
A completely new world opened before me.
✦ From Curiosity to a Lifetime Passion ✦
Life rarely follows the path we imagine.
I dreamed of becoming an architect because I loved creating and designing beautiful spaces.
At the same time, I developed another passion—computers.
I tried studying mathematics.
Then computer science.
Life had other plans.
Eventually, I became a professional beautician and opened my own beauty salon, where I worked successfully for almost ten years.
Like every chapter in life, that one had its peak, and eventually it began to change.
Looking back today, I’m grateful it did.
Because if it hadn’t…
My Magic Jewelry Studio might never have existed.

For many years, Etsy was my creative home, and I’m grateful for everything I learned there.
But over time, I realized I wanted something more.
I wanted complete creative freedom.
A place where I could share not only finished jewelry, but also the stories behind every design, my collections, my gallery, my tutorials, my patterns, my experiments, my mistakes, my successes, and my dreams.
I didn’t want just another online shop.
I wanted to build a real creative studio.
A place where everything could finally belong together.
And so…
My Magic Jewelry Studio was born.
✦ A Little Story About Courage ✦
When I decided to build my own website, one of my friends smiled and said:
“I would probably spend two months thinking about it… then study for months… and maybe start next year.”
I laughed.
Because that’s simply not how I work.
On July 7th, 2026, I started building.
Step by step.
Problem by problem.
Coffee by coffee.
Late night after late night.
Today, my studio is standing proudly on its own.
It is still growing.
There are still empty shelves waiting for new collections.
New stories waiting to be written.
New designs waiting to be born.
And honestly…
